AN ANTHROPOLOGIST THAT I ADMIRE

Imagen
Hello everyone again and for the last (sad) time, this time I come to tell you about an anthropologist I admire, David Graeber. My admiration for him starts first because he is considered (and for me too) one of the most important contemporary anthropologists, his contributions to political and economic anthropology are important for academics, due to his studies of the origins of barter and money giving a different view to the hegemonic discourse, focusing his study on the importance of war in the origins of barter and money. Another reason and the most important one for which I admire him is his concordance in what he studies and the criticisms he makes with his political activism in favor of social rights and anti-capitalist movements, being very active always until the day of his death. As for his life. He was born in 1961 in New York being always close to political activism because his father fought in the Spanish civil war with the Republican army and his mother was a member of t

My favorite food

Hi everyone, it's Sergio here again, this time I'm going to tell you about my favorite food, a simple but infallible dish, noodles with sauce. They are my favorite food of all my life and every time I try them they give me the feeling of being the best thing that the human being has created, it is a simple dish, it only contains noodles, tomato sauce, minced or ground meat (I prefer minced meat) and salt, obviously, you can put more seasonings if you want like a little garlic or oregano but I prefer it simple. The preparation is simple, we put the noodles in a pot with boiling water at boiling point and add a pinch of salt, we leave them there until they are ready. In the meantime, fry the meat and tomato sauce separately, stir, and wait until they are ready. Then we join the noodles and the tomato sauce with meat and were ready to eat. I like this meal very much because of its simple preparation and because it is the most motivating in moments of hunger or fatigue after sport

MY FAVOURITE PIECE OF TECHNOLOGY

Imagen
Hi, I'm Sergio here again. Today I wanted to talk to you about my favorite piece of technology. For me the best piece of technology is the printer, I use it a lot, not only mine, but also the university printers in "los chunchos". We really have a lot of reading to do and the way I concentrate the most is on a piece of paper, on the computer my eyes hurt and I get distracted sometimes. Also the mechanics of the printer are impressive to me in how it can place words so quickly, or how it can place a digital image on paper so quickly (I'm easy to impress hahaha). Another thing I like about the printer is that the most current ones can also connect to cell phones, so it can be used in different devices.  Also add that mine has lasted me a lot, more than 7 years with it and it has saved me from many occasions where I needed printed images or printed texts. a picture of my great Epson L220 printer

WHY DID I CHOOSE MY MAJOR?

When I was little I never really knew what I wanted to study, I only knew in 2021 what I really wanted, what I wanted to study, and what I study is anthropology. Although as a child I had those dreams that are always farther away, to be an astronaut or to be a soccer player. Curiously, when I was a child I wanted to be a circus clown and at one point I also wanted to be a fireman, I never decided on something specific and so far it is something similar since I like anthropology but later I would like to study other things like psychology, journalism or political science, I wouldn't want to be locked into just one thing, so money permitting, I would like to study more. After receiving the results of the PDT, in addition to anthropology, I applied to sociology and public administration, although public administration never convinced me 100%.  since I was 13 years old I liked humanistic subjects a lot more, especially history, but more than learning in a strict way, I liked to know w

Who am I?

Hello world! I will tell you a little about myself. My name is Sergio Salinas and I was born on 28/01/2004 in Puente Alto, the most populated commune in Chile. I am only child, I never had brothers or sisters, but I never needed them, it's so good to be an only child, only you have the attention of your parents, also I always have a lot of friends to this day. I come from a middle-class where nothing surplus, but nothing lacking, when I was a kid I played football with my neighbors in the street with a plastic ball, was very entertaining, although I didn't see much to my parents during the day because of their work, the friends and neighbors were always there for entertainment and share. At 6 years old I started to practice karate, which I loved and I have been practicing it for many years, but then  I started with kickboxing which I left in 2019. My interest in anthropology began with an interest in history, this started at the age of 14 due to the good history teacher that
